Tarmac & Trail Bike School | "Learn to Ride" Course (Years 1 & 2 (KS1)

**The Clue is in the Title…

Our "Learn to Ride" courses begin with riders scooting their bikes without pedals, in order to focus on balance, coordination, and gaining confidence. We will develop the key skills of:

Bike / Helmet / Clothing Safety Check
Mounting/Dismounting
Rider Body Position
Rider Awareness
Cornering
Braking & Controlling Speed
Towards the latter stages of the course, we will refit our pedals in order to develop our pedalling skills.

On the completion of our "Learn to Ride" course, we expect our "graduates" to be able to ride confidently away into a new exciting world of cycling!

Highly recommended. This class was one of the best things we’ve ever done for Astrid. After only half of the lessons the difference in Astrid’s skills and confidence was amazing. By the end of the course she was riding her bike completely independently - something we’ve not been even close to achieving ourselves. On top of this, Astrid had a lot of fun and was always super excited for ‘bike day’. Drew and his team have a lovely way with children and a lot of patience. We would sign up for any future courses, to build up Astrid’s skills further and because we know she’d enjoy it so much too.
